UNIT 1: CELL PROJECT

2018

This project covers information about brown adipose cells (fat cells). This page briefly covers what brown adipose cells are, it's role in the levels of organization, about it's main macromolecule (protein), how it undergoes the cell cycle, & about autosomal recessive disorders that can result from them.

UNIT 2: GENETIC DISEASE

2019

In this project I have done a decent amount of research about the rare genetic disease, Cystic Fibrosis. This page contains information about symptoms, genetic testing, how DNA is translated and it's impact on protein, & medical intervention. Along with that is included an exampled pedigree that shows and explains how Cystic Fibrosis can be passed down.

UNIT 3: EARTH 2.0

This project is mainly focused on one type of ecosystem (mountain ecosystem) and contains information about abiotic/ biotic factors, gives an exampled food web, trophic pyramid, a reflective essay on the impact of humans and it's interaction with the ecosystems, a descriptive process of the carbon cycle, water cycle, my analysis on my carbon footprint which summons how well or badly I am treating the earth, and an overall conclusion on what I think can be a way humans could reduce their personal impact on the ecosystems.
